Getting values from a DCR

I am using the following code in an attempt to retrieve the JOB ID value from a workflow DCR:

my $jobid = iwpt_dcr_value('dcr.workflowinformation.workflow.id');

The resulting value is being used in the header of all email messages sent to various approvers of the workflow job. Unfortunately, the variable is null when displayed on the subsequent email messages. We were initially using the TASK ID, but need to display the JOB ID on order to reduce user confusion.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's an attribute, not an item. Try
my $jobid = iwpt_dcr_value('dcr.workflowinformation.workflowid');
