Generate multiple files from taxonomy

Hi All,
we are using teamsite 6.7.2 and sitepublisher, we have requirement to generate multiple navigation html files from sitemap (taxonomy), now i want to know what are the various options.

In one of the thread XSL was used to generate multiple file, can we do that when the source of data is sitemap ?

Also is there a way to customize generate link to initiate a workflow and then use regular tpl in one of the tasks to acutally generate multiple files ?

We are very new to this sitepublisher tool so exploring all the ideas.
Any pointers appreciated.

Are you going to have LiveSite or just SitePublisher?

This is not OOTB functionality -- you'll need customizations (probably unsupported) for this. I am not sure if this is the best way to go though.

Not sure what your thought process is there + don't know your requirements but that seems odd that you want to use SP's sitemap and tie it with TPLs somehow to generate some HTML files... Clarify this a little further and see if somebody can offer some guidance.

i might have not worded it correctly, all i want is to generate multiple files using sitemap, and looking for various options to do that, can you please share a little bit more on the option you provided.

Option I have outlined in my previous post is exactly it:

Anything much beyond that would be some sort of customization based on your requirement. I don't think you can get an architectural solution from the forums here. You need to get some training and / or hire some expert services to get you the architectural guidance that you need.

SitePub's sitemap / taxonomy functionality is very sleek but it shows its true capabilities when you use it in conjunction with LiveSite (and Targeting).

but can you give some details on how to customize generate functionality to trigger a workflow from there.
