Hi There

I am getting a strange error when I try to edit a non-templated file in Teamsite. Usually the file downloads into c:IWTemp and opens in TextPad (our default edit tool). However at the moment we are getting teh following error:

Error downloading file c:/test.html
error receiving file transfer result from 'http://'

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for getting back, here are the details you requested. Strangely we have narrowed the issue down to one particular branch. All other branches seem to work fine. Also teh issue happens for all users, so it would seem to be branch specific.

Interwoven TeamSite 6.5.0 Service Pack 3
Windows XP
IE 6
All users are experiencing the same issue in this partcular branch.

Hmm - well if it's 6.5 it won't be branch-role-specific as the roles are still server-wide in 6.5.

That makes it sound like there's some kind of permissions issue with that branch such that the owner of the process that is attempting to perform the download does not have access.

From the file-system interface on the server (via Windows Explorer) take a look at the access rights on the branch, workarea, directories, and a file that do not have a problem, and compare them to their corresponding entries that do have a problem - hopefully that will shed some light.

You might have to open a case with IWOV Support if that doesn't work.
