We are upgrading from VCM 8.0 to WEM 8.5 and figuring out how to implement search on our sites using Solr. I am looking into the search toolbar and search results components. I would like to customize the search result view. I believe this is possible - there's even a comment in searchResultsView.jsp that states "Users can extend this JSP to customize their views."
The searchResultsView.jsp works with classes in the com.vignette.ext.templating.searchcomponent package. However, this package does not appear to be included in the public API javadoc. Is there any documentation for these classes, or for customizing the search toolbar and results views?
Besides changing the styling of search results, I am also interested in filtering out certain results, such as content components.
Thanks.
