Legacy FURL configuration in WEM 8.5

How do we configure Legacy style friendly URLs in 8.5. We would like to use our own custom mapper implemention as we did in 8.1. However I am not able to get the configuration right and the documentation on this area is not very clear. We are using Weblogic. Currently I have a sites.ear which has sites.war and our custom war file (which has displayviews etc.). Please outline the way the modules are mapped in application.xml and any specific configuration parameters to be enabled to turn on legacy friendly URLs.

Hi,

 

                I hope, You have gone through “Chapter 8 Configuring Friendly URL” of “Configuration Guide”.

 

                However, please find the steps to configure Legacy URLs below.

1. Select a “Legacy URLs’ scheme at “URL” tab of site editor.

2. Deploy a web app with Site’s name (we can rename and use sites.war for this)

Now, Legacy URLs should be enabled for this Site.

 

               PS:  “vgn-ext-teplating.war’ and “furl.war” is combined and deployed as “sites.war” in 8.5.

 

Configuring Custom Mapper:  Add the mapper to “furl.mappers” config property list and place the class in the class path (same as regular practice)

 

Can you please check the above steps and let me know if you need any further inputs.
