6.7.2 Installation

I am trying to upgrade Teamsite 6.7.1 Livesite 3.0 to 6.7.2. During the installation I got the following error message

I continued with the installation and it completed. After the reboot the Teamsite screen came up to complete the installtion setting the site pulisher and targeting roles and I get the following

Please run these commands manually
Installing SitePublisher Components : null

Restarting TeamSite UI : Time out occurred after 240000ms
Command : e:\iw-home\bin\iwreset -ui

When I try to bring up Teamiste login its not coming up. The Y: drive is up and running but the resource iw-cc is not available.

Any ideas ... The environment is windows 2003 server.

Which LOCALE are you using on Win 2003 now ?
Did you try changing it in the past with the earlier environment,for testing etc ?
Also Whats your current JRE version ?

Pls check for "KnownIssues" TS6282,6468,4282 on Pg40 of
ts672ReleaseNotes too.

Thanks for the reply and here is the information.
The LOCALE is english and I have not change it after the install. The JVM version is 1.6.0_03.

Any ideas on why its failing during the install with this error.

You may want to try re-downloading the 672 package and verify if it's the same size as the one your originally downloaded and tried to install from. The error message makes it seem that something is missing from the installation.

I didn't have this problem when I upgraded my 671SP1 Windows 2000 server to 672 - but I also don't have LiveSite - so it may be a bad comparison.

I am not sure why exactly the installer failed without looking at installation logs, but from the description it sounds like you are hitting an old known issue with previous versions of SitePublisher. There was a SP bug about installation drive that required tmp and temp to point to the same drive as installation. That is, if temp says " C:\temp " then you could only install SP on "C" drive. I'm not sure the bug was resolved in 6.7.2 or not. What you may want to try is change the "temp" and "tmp" variables to point to E (E:\temp, E:\tmp as you are installing 6.7.2 on drive E) and run the scripts again or run the installer again. Hopefully it will work. If that fails too then open a case with Interwoven Support.

Arijit,
Before I started the installation I had the tmp and temp varaible already pointing to e:\temp and e:\tmp as you can see in the error message, however its still failing and I did download the software again and its the same size.

Not sure what to do in order to fix the issue. Any suggestion at this point will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure exactly what is going on. What does your environment variable for CLASSPATH say? The real error message I see is "A class needed by class com.interwoven.livesite.hibernate.tool.hbm2ddl.Sch emaUpdateTask cannot be found: org/hibernate/HibernateException " let me see if I can find more information.

We have managed to get through with the error "taskdef A class needed by class com.interwoven.livesite.hibernate.tool.hbm2ddl.Sch emaUpdateTask cannot be found: org/hibernate/HibernateException"

by copying the hibernate3.jar file

to your iw-home\tools\ant\lib directory.

However, when we proceed to the post-installation tasks (manually running the scripts), we encountered new problems. sitepub_component_install.bat and targeting_spar_install.bat scripts throw some errors.

We already logged a support case with Interwoven. Appreciate if someone can give information on how to solve this.
