Problem in running an ipl file

Hi All,
I am using a ipl file in my workflow.
But there is something strange happening with it. Some times my workflow is able to hit the ipl file and sometimes its not able to hit that ipl file.

Its like i have a ipl file which is used for unlocking and email tasks .
When i run my workflow with similar conditions in one case it is able to hit the ipl file and perform the task and in the other case it is nt even hitting that ipl file as no logs are generated for that ipl file in second case.
When i restart my teamsite it is able to hit that ipl file the first case.

Can anyone suggest anything about this strange behaviuor ??

ENV - unix with TS 6.5 sp2

Note : Usually server goes out of memory due to low disk space.

It seems might be problem due to low disk space.
Have you checked what caused of it?
It might be due to Eventsubsystem using db file. So, Make sure openjms.db and openjms.log file might be in big size. So empty these and try again.

I tried to run that ipl file from shell script ...its working fine from there .

That "note" is probably the crux of the problem - have you looked in the TeamSite and system log files when the script doesn't run? Chances are there are error messages about insufficient resources to spawn the process for your Perl script - and that's why it isn't running.

How much memory and disk space do you have on your server? It sounds like you have an undersized machine - and as such it isn't going to work reliably for you - ramp up the memory and/or disk space and the problem should go away.

I hope you have done this but just to make sure. Try make a log statement in the first line of your ipl. This way, it rules out any coding issue if the problem is still intermittent.

To say a file is not being hit, you should confirm it with the access.log. For example, "tail -f" your iw-home/local/logs/iwui/access.log while doing your DCT, and confirm that your ipl is not received by the server.

If it doesn't show up in the access.log, then you would need to look more closely to your DCT callserver line.

If it does show up, then check the status code and the error.log for any CGI error message for more clue.

I am guessing it is the latter case. It is being hit, but gives error.
