Delete permission at Folder level

We need to restrict the particular category DCR's delete operation for group of peoples. It should be predefined no of DCR's in that Folder. Need to restrict the delete operation and creation of DCR's at particular folder.

Can you please share your ideas on this?

You can set permission

"Read Only"

for that group on the folder.
That group should not have inherited permission of full control on the folder. If so then remove that group from the inherited permission.

Faizi thanks for the reply. But the thing is User can edit the existing DCR's under that folder. We need to restrict the New DCR creation and Deletion at that Folder. If we give Read only access to the folder, he cant change the content of the DCR.

Ex:
Weather Category I created one DCR. The Business User can change the content of the DCR. He cant do the deletion or new DCR creation at the (Weather Category)folder.

Then give them "Modify" permission only.

So now you need to create a new custom role from Administration Tab. Create it from "no role" option. Now in Files, Forms and Folder click on More Detail, in the given option's check boxes only those option select that is you want to give that role. Make sure that "Delete Files and Folders" option is unchecked.

User/Group should also not has the role of WorkflowUser or any other role to that branch. But this works for the complete branch. Not for a particular folder.

It doesn't seem feasible. You have to find some other solution or re-analyze users/groups role and its permission.

Perhaps you should consider modifying the TS GUI menu options by replacing the OOTB Delete option with a custom one that checks the file(s) / directory(ies) subject for deletion and the user performing the operation - before allowing the deletion to go through?
