To begin with - you need to provide information about the version (including patches and service packs) and platform/OS of TeamSite. However, I think you might be able to extract all this information by using iwrlog on each and every DCR. Play with the command to get a feel for the information it provides and the manner in which it provides it - and then develop a script to run it and extract the information you're looking for.Out of curiosity - Why do you need this information?
Thanks Ghoti, first of all i know your Curiosity ,its naturally. i need these information because there are huge unused contents and authers and pages available in site for that we have to find out the statistics like that and based on that data we have some future plan. the version information that you need is as below.1. Teamsite 6.7.1 SP12. O.S is Windows 2003 Server SP23. Server framework is .NET1.1 Above is the information that i think is sufficient for your brianstorming.kindly let me know some more about it. and the format of the output data e.g. Text file , CSV or Excell etc...thanks.Ashish.
You have a few choices, all will require some/or a lot of work for you. I highly doubt you are going to find someone else who has done this.
TeamSite report center is available for purchase. You should look at that & see what it provides out of the box.
Also if you have the eventsubsystem running (and has been running for a while) then a lot of this data may be in there, you will have to figure out how to get it out.
Otherwise you will need to parse the event log (if that is possible, it gets quite large and companies tend to cycle it, so you may only have a couple months of data).
Barring any of those, then your choice is really ugly. You would need to (programmaticly) walk each branch, get the submit information for each version of each file and build up the information manually.
Any way you look at it, you are in for a lot of work.
