Want to Invoke workflow from cgi

I want to invoke a workflow by using iwwft_compile.ipl.
I am using following command in my ipl.

"D:\\iw-home\\iw-perl\\bin\\iwperl.exe

\\iw-home\\bin\\iwwft_compile.ipl -i <

\\iw-home\\para.xml"

para.xml contains my wft name and user name.

When I execute this command from command line its working fine. But I am not getting the same result when I execute it through my cgi.

Urgent help is required.

what do u mean by not getting the same result when I execute it through my cgi?? do u mean u are not able to execute the script ?? or you can but the results are not as expected ??.. please clarify..

if you cant execute the script then check for permissions on the file that u r trying to execute. mostly whenever u can run a script from the command line and not from the UI is due to permissions issue on the script/files .

when running anything from TeamSite User interface the process runs as iwui vs when running a script from the command line . so u need to make sure iwui has access to run the CGI script(s).

Also - it's obvious you are on Windows - but what version of Windows, and what version of TeamSite (including service pack and patch information)?

Which submit are you talking about?
If you are calling another cgi in a new job, you can debug that more to get the issue narrowed. If you are calling the cgi in a workflow all the required parameters should be passed implicitly except if you are using some other values which you may need to send explicitly.
Please state your environment details too.

When you invoke the wft via iwwft_compile.ipl - is the owner of the CGI task the same as the owner of the task / process that ran iwwft_compile.ipl?

If not - then the CGI task will not start immediately (regardless of the immediate="t" setting)

I'm not asking who you configure the workflow owner to be - I'm asking who owns the process that runs iwwft_compile.ipl

Just because you say the workflow should be owned by "joe" doesn't mean that iwwft_compile.ipl is actually being run by "joe" - and that is, I believe, the crux of the problem.

A CGI task will not start immediately unless it can be reasonably sure that the user who owns it is logged into the current client computer.

You might have to change the workflow to start with a usertask owned by iw_user - with a transition to the cgitask.
