.sh file calling through call server from DCT

Hi,

Can anybody tell me ,calling a .sh file from call server is same as calling a ipl file with callserver from DCT?

Before calling a .sh file i am passing the some parameters to the file ,how can I pass and get this parameter in .sh file and from this .sh file ,I am calling the IPL file and I want this DCT parameter in IPl file..

How Can I do this....

CallServer is essentially expecting to call a non-displayed CGI script - as such the parameters are passed as form variables not command-line parameters.

You might be able to process such information in a bourne shell script - but I think it's generally easier to do so with a Perl script.

Why are you bothering with the shell script? If your perl script is written to be a command-line (instead of CGI) script - consider one of several possibilities:

Personally, I think the first and last ideas above are significantly better than the middle one - but ultimately its up to you.

Actully I already started one thread "Access problem while accessing the IPL file" in which I menited that I am not able to call the IPl from normal user or through DCT.Now I have export the oracel ENV variable..
export ORACLE_HOME=/usr/lib/oracle/10.2.0.3/client/lib and export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/oracle/10.2.0.3/client/lib in profile file and Now I am able to run the file through putty with normal user also.

But still the problem is with calling the file with DCT.

I am not very much sure where I need to add the ENV variable apart from profile file.

Please anybody let me know Did we are not able to fetch the enviroment variable in IPL file when we made a call through call server ..

when i run the file through inline or callout its seems to be work.

Please help me out to resolve this issue.

So to solve this problem I am trying to call one .sh file and setting the env variable from there,but I am not sure how i can proceed.

Ennvironment variable settings need to go into a

BEGIN{...};

block in your Perl code. Search the web for more information about BEGIN blocks in Perl; Search the forums for a whole bunch of threads where this has been discussed and (usually) proven to be the solution - many of these threads show example code for doing this.
