again, new to teamsite...

i want to learn how to configure the VFE in our TS configuration... should i be lookign at the visualformatconfig.xml file to do this?

im not going to change anything.... yet..... i just need to start understanding it...

There are a few more files where you may need to make changes depending on your requirement The files are under the iw-home\httpd\iw and iw-home\httpd\iw\ewebeditpro20 locations. Make sure you backup the original files before making any change.

Hi,

best source to learn from is the 'tst.vf.600.dev.pdf'. This will tell you how to config the xml file you mention.

Further, there is a good forum on this on Ektron's pages: http://dev.ektron.com/forum.aspx?g=topics&f=84

One important tip: make a copy your original xml-file and refer to this in your datacapture.cfg. This way you will always have a backup of the original AND any existing projects in your teamsite-server are not affected.

ok, now let me ask this (i hope i dont get banned for repetitive questions, but im still not clear)

what file would i look into configuring for trying to strip the following tags from the VFE:

DOCTYPE
html
head
title

they are put into every page that is created, which resides in a teamplate, thus duplicting these tags.

Are you genarating .html files using tpl (template)?
If yes then you can handle these things in tpl file.

In visualformatconfig.xml, you can skip html tags by cleanhtml value.
