Where do i see the coressponding logs ??

Hi,

I am new to WEM8.5, I want to know where do I see the logs for the following.

1) Errors I face during incontext edit in my preview application; e.g I was trying to save my changes(Using IlineEditTag), but I get a pop up saying unable to invoke method:update, now where are the logs for that generated?(Also, where do i configure the log generation for this, we are using log4j configuration)

2) All logs coressponding to the internal api calls; cda jar and cma jar?

 Can someone help?

Hi Neha,

Have you checked the main log files:

The WEM app log:

\WEM\vcm\inst-vgninst\logs\VgnVCM1-runtime.log

The VCM app server standard out and log:
\WEM\Content\8_5\rtsvcs\domains\vgndomain\servers\VgnVCMServer\logs\VgnVCMServer.log
\WEM\Content\8_5\rtsvcs\domains\vgndomain\servers\VgnVCMServer\logs\VgnVCMServer.out

Also, if it's a UI error, you can check the Console tab of Firebug (assuming that you're using Firefox).
