I have the following queries on searching for specific contents using advanced search of TS Search. Unfortunately i couldn't find a proper documentation on using Search from Interwoven:
- I know wild card * can be used to represent 'all', now what if i want to search the character * in a document. Are there any ways to accomplish this query and/or other special characters like ? ' \ : and etc.
- If i type \ in the 'At Least One Word:' box, the result is weired; contains un necessary results.
- Can any one explain me the mere difference between the fields 'Exact Phrase' and 'All words'.
- Is their a limitation of the file types that the Search can work with? because in my case; contents can be searched from .doc, .txt, .html and amazingly .pdf (of course i've configured to index these exts and more).
- Surprisingly when i search for a string inside a .swf file, weired it returns some swf files !!!
Specs: TS6.5 SP2, Solaris, Search1.0 SP2, Search & TS on the same box.
Appreciate if some one can give me an explanation of the behaviour of the Search.
