ContentComponent - preview component cache not invalidated when updated

Hi,

I have created a component (WEM 8.1) and everything is working as expected, however the only remaining issue I have is that when you modify the component, the changes do not get reflected on Preview. I can see that the component has been updated in the Database, when I edit the component the changes are in the page form, however no manner of refreshing/saving the component will update the preview site. Only by restarting tomcat does the change appear.

The debug-cda.log shows that when the page renders after updating the component it does not query the database.

I dont believe I am doing anything to crazy and have modeled my component on OOB ContentMultiSelectComponent and ContentSelectComponent classes. My Class has the following declarations :

public class FooComponent extends ContentComponent implements ICacheableObject, IReferencedItems, IReferencedItem.

Any advise would be much appreciated.
