calling a variable inside PT

how to invoke a variable declared in pt in asp.net code

as in suppose we have a variable

my $x="value"; inside CDATA



[php]
<script runat="server">

protected void a(y, z)
{


string y ="$x";{we want the $x here}


}
[/php]

i tried putting the above asp code inside "iw_perl>
