How to determine online users

jwl

Hi,
In TeamSite 6.5 (Solaris 9), is it possible to determine who's currently logged in at any given time?
Thanks,
John

hi

Not sure that how to get online users of TS,but we can get recent ts users

using an CLT

"iwrecentusers.exe"

Displays a list of everyone who has used TeamSite since the last time the TeamSite server was started, and a timestamp of each user’s most recent TeamSite operation.

It's Window Based ,definitely same will be available for Solaris Refer to "TS_CLT Manual for Solaris".

Thanks

prabhatcse46's first response is basically all there is - TeamSite is stateless, in that it doesn't keep track of who is logged in, whether they're active or idle, or anything like that - so the answer is "no - you can only approximate it".

You could hack the login page to log things a bit - like iwrecentusers - but unless you figure out how to capture when a user closes the TS GUI without logging out, logging out, and/or lets their cookie expire - it's not going to get much more accurate.

Note: This is the way it's been, and likely to remain, for a long time - and it doesn't matter which OS you're on either.

Thanks everyone. iwrecentusers will give me a rough idea.
