Who can unlock other users files in a workarea

I thought that a workarea owner could unlock files that were locked by other users in that workarea. In practice, this does not seem to be working. Is it only the branch owner (other then administrators) that can unlock other users file locks?

Trying to dig through docs but not finding what I thought I read before.

Interesting behavior: In a workarea that we renamed we got latest from TeamSite staging. The workarea owner was trying to unlock DCR's in the workarea. Those that were locked from the get latest she was unable to unlock. She was able to unock files that were locked by editing by me in this renamed workarea. I had locked by editing.

Any thoughts on why the inability to unlock those files that were locked from the get latest vs. the ability to unlock files locked by opening to edit post the get latest?

You say that GetLatest exposed locked files in the workarea. Is there more than one workarea on the branch? If so - perhaps those files are locked within the other workarea - and perhaps the owner of "this" workarea doesn't have administrative rights on "that" workarea to remove the locks?

Ah - very interesting. That could very well be the situation. I will investigate further and discover which of our multiple workareas (seven - reducing to four) the DCR(s) may have been originally locked in and check the administrative rights.
