I am trying to preview a DCR. I clicked on the DCR in data folder and template shows up with details. Now when I click on "generate page" here, I get a TPL list to select from. After selecting the TPL when I click preview ,instead of getting the page displayed I get the errorin window that "page can not be displayed".

If I click on preview in DCR template instead of generate page, I get same result "Page can not be displayed."

Whats this due to ?

Your presentation template is most likely broken. You need to fix it first. There are other possibilities, permissions to create zz_tst files are not there.

Can you generate a page ?

It would be nicer to give your environment details in every thread you post. You can compile your presentation file by iwpt_compile -pt <vpath_of_the_tpl_file> and debug whether it is broken.

As Pawan has suggested try to compile your presentation template using the iwpt_compile.
See if you get any errors , most likely they are going to be. Fix them and then try to preview in the content center.

Check to see if the user is a member of the TeamSite Web Preview group, if not add the user to that group, provided your presentation template is error free.

What is the extension on the file that gets generated from this PT?
Are you sure that the generated output is "good" (perhaps you could post, as an attachment [foo.txt] the generated output)?

Don't bother with that until you can log on the server and run iwpt_compile to show that the TPL works.

You *most likey* have a bug in your TPL. You need to debug that. If you can run iwpt_compile sucessfully and the page that is generated renders properly, then check the web preview group.

As nipper suggests, compile your PT and see if you can output to a test html or jsp page(whatever file ext). Moreover , Web preview group is a OS group and not a config file.
