Hi All,

I just started using TeamSite in order to develop components.

I am trying to create a new resource center component listing three different types of files (.doc, .xls, .pdf) as type File. Is there any way I can check the user's file extension in order to output the right image next to the file?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I am not wrong then You are working on DCT and wants to validate the extension of a particular field.

Hi,
You can check the file extension using FormAPIs.
It depends on how selecting the file and putting the file path. As per my understanding you have to pass file name with extension to the component and then using FormAPI & JavaScript check the extension and on the basis of extension select the image.
