Alternatively, is there a supported method of synchronizing content

Is your backing store on a local disk or a SAN/NAS like a NetApp Filer?

If the latter - you should be able to utilize NetApp's Snapshot and SnapMirror technology to do this.

I soo wish TeamSite would support writes to multiple targets. But then again, I work at a hardware vendor and I guess softwares shortcomings are good for sales.

In the solaris/unix works...

If you need it in "real-time" at the hardware level
You would probably want a storage device that has a block-based replication feature along with a NVRAM cache hooked up to a battery backup.

If you are fine with updates every X minutes/hours, a software based approach could be good enough.
