Deleting old documents

Hi, 

we are using an old version of Collab (7.3).

We are having issues because the database space we have is limited and the collab database is consuming 95% of the available space.

Customer wants to delete old documents (i.e. documents modified before 5 years ago).

Does anyone have a script/tool/extension for this functionality?

If not, can you direct me in the proper direction for developing this funcionality?

Ideally, retention policies would be used to automatically run some CBP after some specified time has passed.    The CBP could run the document through a workflow where document deletion is the potential action (either automatically or selectively).

 

Alternatively, you could query the database (iks_binarydocument) for loid_seq_no that have an iks_modifieddate less than some specified date.  You would take the loid_seq_no list, prepend “1.9.” to those numbers and code a KMAPI class/script to delete these oids (ideally in batches).
