OD Compatibility V 6.1 with Oracle 10g

Hi All

We want to upgrade our OD to 6.1 (we presently have OD 6.0.1 on TS 6.5 SP2) , and use Oracle 10g for reporting (currently use Oracle 8i). I was going through the comatibility matrix on the support site and it says OD 6.1 only supports Oracle 8i and 9i AND NOT 10g. Does anyone have experience of using Oracle 10g for reporting with OD 6.1 on Solaris (8,9 or 10), please share your experiences in case you have any.

if your already planning to upgrading OD, why not upgrade it to 6.2?

upgrade to OD6.2 which has oracle 10g support.
