reuse import functionality present in standard edition of teamsite

I want to reuse import functionlaity present in standard edition of teamsite in my DCR, for uploading images.

Please help.

I'm using Temsite 6.5 with service pack2. In this version we are having two content centres -Professional and Standard. Professional contains normal import functionality avaiable in file menu of Teamsite.

How ever Standard content centre is having a 'Work in Progrees' tab which has an import button, with functionality to allow files to be uploaded from local machine, and then allow user to select a destination folder in current workarea to place the file (Similar to upload).Its also capturing the path of palce where file is placed. I want to use this functionality in my DCR for image upload( on content centre-Professional). And also to modify it to select folder in any workarea.

Can you please help with this.

As per your reply. You want upload image files in your DCRs (actually in DCT), right.
For this you have to put a browser tag in your DCT. For details go through the Form Publisher Developer Guide.
For uploading files with source and destination, you need to call cgi-callout in browser tag for calling an ipl file. After that you have to writh that ipl file for achieving this functionality. This file should be in iw-home/iw-bin/

Hello faizi,

The browser tag is giving error. we are having tags like Container and then item for all kind of items in Teamsite till now. Is any other thing required to use it.

@ghoti-> I have already used import sepcified in ccI urls, but I wanted to capture the import button which on its click actually upload the file in current workarea on teamsite. I want to allow user to upload file on client machine and select the location where to place the file in Teamsite instead of default location in Vpath on click of import. I have created the customised code for this ( but not using import), and its working.

My question is thst in Teamsite setup provided to us by interwoven , in standard edition we can see an upoad functionality which is using import functionality, and also allowing user to selct location on teamsite where to place the file on Teamsite and also capture its path in DCT. Can it be re - used ofr professional edition upload functionality. How to re-use it if any one has used it.

Thanks for responding. I'm talking about functionality offered by 'Importfiletotask' URL command mentioned in'UI customization guide' in chapter-9. I want to customize functionality offered by this command to reflect the path with file name where file is finally kept in teamsite on DCT textbox. But some how don't know how and also is facing problem with passing multiple qyerystring parameters in CGI callout URL.

Could you please guide
