OpenText Builder 8.5 Installation

Hi All,

I am facing issue with Builder Application with Portal 8.5: As per previous thread, I have tried with JDK1.5 32bit Version to execute Builder Installer. Otherwise getting write_error while select folder to install the builder.

 

1. Have Installed jdk 1.7 (64bit) and installed tomcat, portal
2. Have installed jdk 1.5 (32bit) set the JAVA_HOME, CLASS_PATH and installed Builder
   1. Changed Java Home back to JDK 1.7 Now Portal UP & Running, but builder is not running. its not started showing error
   2. Keep jdk 1.5 as JAVA_HOME but Portal is not running.

Now-a-days all are using 64bit Machine only. for Builder If we downgrade JDK and other applications are not running.

Please help to resolve this issue. I am stuck with this more than a week.

The workaround mentioned earlier is only for builder installation. At runtime you can point to the JDK version which is supported by the application server on which builder is deployed.

Please attach the logs for helping you further.
