how to copy component, template and pages from one livesite enviroment to another

Thanks for your help . I am creating a new thread as , I am not getting the old thread I had created.

I want to know a few things from you .

Are you able to edit the transfered component on the site publisher component edit window on the machine to which you have copied ?

Because I am able to transfer the component from one TS to another and that is working there . I can preview the page and it is displaying correctly.
But not able to edit the transfered components and pages on the site publisher windows(it is opening on a text editor).

If it is working correctly for you, can you please explain the step , I need to follow ?

I didn't understand what do you mean by "add the external attributes and you can find the component working" ?

Hi,

You need to create SPAR files, ( SitePublisher Archive) files to move your components, skins, templates, dcts from one Livesite server to other.

SPAR are like zip files created as package. You need to copy the spar to some directory and install them in target livesite server.

By doing so all the Attributes will be retained.

Read the SitePub Dev guide for more details on how to create and deploy spar files from one server to another.

Could not find anything in the developer guide about archive file (SPAR). Could someone please guide me the file or process.

If you are referring to old dev guide you might not find it.

Everything is mentioned in this Dev guide version I have ls_310ltd_spdev_v01_en.pdf

Thanks for that (couldn't locate the file you mentioned could you forward the same to me), also would suggest to use OpenDeploy to copy content from one teamsite to another with applyExtnattr option, it is much cleaner and better option.
