"Unknown" role in events log

Hi,
I am seeing many entries in the events log with "Unknown" for the role. This is not specific to a user or a date or time. Sample entry:

[timestamp] USER_ID Unknown TaskAddFile WF_NAME 0x199056f Unlock Files for Workflow Locking 0x1990571 FILE_PATH WA_PATH

Anyone encountered this? If so, do you know why/when this occurs.

Anyone knows how the events/TeamsiteEvents files get created? I am trying to understand how teamsite publishes these messages, may be that would help solve this mystery.

What version of TeamSite are you using? (including patches and service pack levels)?

Okay - so 671SP1 has FlexRoles - which means that roles are assigned to users on a branch-by-branch basis.
Is it possible that the user in question does not have a role associated with their id on the branch in which the workflow is running?

Nope, because they have access to these branches for sure.
Also, the actions (such as starting a new job) that throws Unknown role, works just fine they next time they try something similar(same user, same workflow and same WA).

I'm seeing the same issue. Any idea how to fix this or if this is a bug? I'm seeing the WorkflowActiviate event as domain\user Unknown with Unknown being the role. Some events are capturing the role correctly and others aren't. This is all being done in the same branch.
