Restrict 1nd & 2nd level channels in Navigation Menu in Sub Site

Hello,

Our current site strucute is like below:

1. Home
2. events
3. Sites
   1. Site-A (SubChannel of Mainsite)
   2. Site-B (SubChannel of Mainsite)
4. centers
   1. Center-A (SubChannel of Mainsite)
   2. Center-B (SubChannel of Mainsite)

Each Site-A, Site-B having its own Themes. Site-A should lists subchannels (navigations) from this level only and shouldn't display Main Home, events and Site-B channels in menu. Similarly have to apply for Site-B, Center-A & Center-B. Primarly our URL should come like below:

http://<hostname>/portal/site/Mainsite

http://<hostname>/portal/site/Mainsite/Site-A

http://<hostname>/portal/site/Mainsite/Center-A

 

 

How to write code in Horizontal Navigation? or do we have any other options in WEM.

Don't do this in Portal. Instead, write a Display View in WEM that shows the channel names instead using FURL. This is much easier! Here's an example Display View that will display the channels. The advantage to this is that navigation items are controlled in WEM by the editors (who add new channels in workspace or preview). To use channels in navigation you'll need to add a "navigation component" to your templates, then create a display view and associate that view with the component. Then each page that uses that template will show navigation. The nav items in Portal are still needed but only as "place-holders" to allow rendering of WEM content (including channels names).
