Issue of DB connection while calling from Callserver

Hi All,

I am trying to call a IPl file from call server, which fetch the information from the DB.

Below is the DCT code:

When I run the same file from Inline command its fetched the Data from database but when I run the same file from callserver its not fetching data from DB.

I think this prb is because of using the ENV variable, please help me how I can solve this prb ...?


I have tried to get the Other env variable like IW_Home from call server call its not give the home path but when I run the same file with Inline I got the IW_Home path.

I am not sure why I am not able to get the ENV variable in IPL file while calling from callserver. Please help me how I can do for ORACEL ENV variable.

Is there some reason you're using /usr/bin/perl instead of IWHOME/iw-perl/bin/iwperl ?

I'm not sure if it matters, but if you call the script differently in one context as opposed to the other context - it might make a difference.

The other thing to do - since you have a LOG file - is put the following code in your script:

...open LOG...
print LOG "ENV{$_}: $ENV{$_}\n" foreach (sort(keys %ENV));
...

Then - run the script in both contexts (inline and callserver) and compare the results - it could be that there is some other environment variable that you need to set within the BEGIN block.

If you have the BEGIN block - you shouldn't need the duplicate lines you have above and below it in your existing code.

Also - are you sure about the setting of ORACLE_HOME and LD_LIBRARY_PATH being identical? and should LD_LIBRARY_PATH be set to only the path you showed - or do you want to append / prepend the path you showed to whatever else might already be within that environment setting?
