TinyMCE Custom JS code

Hi ALL,

Is it poosible to add Custom JS code to TinyMCE editor ?

I have to have a drop down on click of a button with values like 'Prodcuts for Sale', 'Marketing people' ...

When users click on these values they have appear inside textbox of TinyMCE editor.

This we have with VFE.

When iwas reading through devnet threads and support material they say only Tool Bar menu can be custamized with options whateve IW has provided in the FormPublisher document.

Our server is 6.7.2 on Windows 2003 SP2

Any help will be appreciated.

This used to be the case in previous versions, but in 6.7.2 you can add 'custom plugins'. Have you looked at the "TeamSite Suppliment" document for 6.7.2 (page 77)?

We're currently working on some customisations and have added some successfully, but they're all just buttons, so I'm not sure about a custom drop-down.

Thank you, as you said looks like we can add button, but not much information about dropdown. I will have a look further. Just started digging into TinyMCE :-).

Hi,
I had problem with drop down as well.
Main problem was that TinyMCE editing space is basically different iframe than tinyMCe controls toolbar.
If you know how to (in simple way) span an block element (i.e. div) on two different iframes it is possible.
I considered that as quite a waste of time and just created a button that created popup window containing select box.

You could try displaying another line in your TinyMCE toolbar (I've done that as well) containing your drop down.

There is simple event handling system (same that makes button icons changes) so you could use that for triggering display of that dropdown or you could just use button.
