Good morning!
Do I need to install Solr and InfoFusion both?
Or can I install just InfoFusion?
Thank you so much.
Hola Ignacio,
You need either SOLR or InfoFusion, not both.
Un saludo,
Tomás
Hello Ignacio,
You will either need solr or infofusion. But not both. I am assuming that you want to use it with WEM.

KK

It depends. Are you going to use Tempo Social later on the same host? If so, use Solr (Tempo Social does not support InfoFusion - at least yet).
Otherwise if you're using WEM 8.5 SP1 or WEM 10.5 you can use InfoFusion which is highly recommended as it provides a much easier interface to manage cores as well as clustering support based on zookeeper.
Currently InfoFusion relies on startup scripts so you may wish to install this as a Windows Service.
Here's a training video that shows how to Install InfoFusion and using the KB install as Windows Service.
The video covers migration of Solr to InfoFusion but you can skip that part and go right to InfoFusion installation (unless you are upgrading/migrating).
Install InfoFusion
Configure InfoFusion as a Windows Service
Just a note that WEM 10.5 support matrix has been recently (last Friday) updated to include InfoFusion version 10.6. My understanding is that this version can be installed natively as a Windows Service (never tried though).
