JavaDocs for teamSite out of box workflows task

vagrawal

Hi,

I am new to teamsite, I have to design a workflow which will include some user-defined task. I need some out of box classes to implement these tasks. Please guide me where exactly I can find the javadocs for the out of box java classes of task.

Thanks

Vinay

Hi Vinay,
There is no such javadoc for the task specific classes, that is used in OOTB workflow. But there is javadoc for ModelorWorkflowAPI that is available as .jar file in httpd\conten_center\web-inf\lib folder you have to unzip it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Faizi for your reply, please one more doubt of mine. Is it possible to instantiate workflow thorugh a java code. if yes please also guide me how to do it. I would really appreciate if you also provide a java sample code.

Hi,

just look for the API's in the cssdk client package, and look for CSClient Object , may be it can help you in this.

Thanks

Why want to do so? It is the requirement or you are doing some RnD?

So, explain your requirement.

It is a requirement. I have to instantiate the workflow using the livesite page, so I was planning to integrate the Live site Action classes (Java Classes) to instantiate the workflow.

Would you explain your complete requirement with scenarios and TS environment, So that we dig into it and give some pointer.

The requirement is as simple as this .

1) There is a LiveSite page.
2) In that page if I click one button it calls one JavaService we put some business logic over there in the JavaService.
3) Through that java service we need to instantiate a workflow which is already designed and published over teamsite server.
4) The business user associated with that workflow will get the respective e-mail about their task.
5) We are using Teamsite 6.7.2.0.

Hi All,

This is to inform all that it is very easy to instantiate the workflow usign the javacode. We just have to use cssdk and a job-specification file and have to work something like this.

CSWorkflowEngine wfEngine = csClient.getWorkflowEngine();
CSWorkflow csWorkflow = wfEngine.createWorkflow(job-specification);

Thanks Vinay
