Link to Channel or Content in Display View

jponnu

Hello,

I have created a Banner CTD, which have Channel Select CCE, Content Select CCE also External URL (Text Field CCE) attributes.

In the display view able to get all the field value except Channel Select CCE & Content Select CCE

For ex: By using Channel Select CCE map it to channel page. similarly Content Select CCE map it to different Content Page.

In my Code,I used like below:

<a href="${content.channelLink}" >Channel Link</a>

<a href="${content.contentLink}" >Content Link</a>

<a href="${content.externalLink}" >External Link</a>

Output:

Channel Link: http://devwem:8080/portal/site/com.vignette.as.client.api.wrapper.ChannelBeanImpl@a0ab86a

Content Link: http://devwem:8080/portal/site/com.qu.contentbean.Qu_press_releaseImpl@81fdea89

External Link: http://www.google.com

Hi Jayaram,

You could code like below. channelLink and contentLink will give you beans, from there you need to get the RCRD.

<templating:contentLink oid="${content.channelLink.system.id}"/>

<templating:contentLink oid="${content.contentLink.system.id}"/>

${content.externalLink}

Regards,

Rajesh

Hi Rajesh,

Thanks for replay.

Actually We need FURL instead of RCRD.

For Example: I have Campus-Life Article and placed it under Featured channel. So, Article FURL is "Campus-Life". Then I added this Artcle as Content link (Used Content Select CCE) of Show Area.

As per requirement If I Click the link then it should be taking into: http://qudevwem:8080/sites/qu/default/en_US/Featured/Campus-Life.

Also for Channel Link, Instead of getting RCRD want to get FURL.

So, Can you please assist me how to achieve this?

Thanks

Jayaram

Hi Jayaram,

I guess you configured FURL properly and working fine for other channels/pages.

Below issue might be resultant of the character “-” in the Article name “Campus-Life”. You might need to fine tune the furl parameters such “furl.space.encoding.char”. By default, “-” will be used as space encoding char. For more details, you can refer DPM/DSM Config guide.

You can also do a quick check by removing the “-” from Article name, that should give the expected furl.

Regards,

Rajesh
