Update version CLT?

Hi,

I am trying to mark my DCR modified (update version) through a callout script. I want to skip the process of opening the DCR and saving it. (i.e. updating DCR verson from 1 to 1+)

Currently "touch DCR name" is working fine me in my callout script.

Is there any CLT available to achieve DCR modification. (Apologies if any CLT exist, I tried to search it... :rolleyes: )

I am not sure why you would want to do this, and I don't know if there is a CLT that has this purpose. But I think that "touch" would be the most efficient option, is there a reason why you can't keep using that?

Pretty sure they want to do this so that in CCStd you can submit files without having to open them and editing them. We did something similar through a wft where we did a quick modification so that when the workflow checks in CCStd to see if the file is modified it doesn't throw the error that the file hasn't been modified and can't be submitted. Which is a real pain in the **** since CCPro you can submit any and all files modified or not. What I did was just updated one of the EA's at the start of the workflow on the files (just retrieve the value of an EA and set the EA to that same value) and it works. This is, of course, assuming this is why you're wanting to modify the file.

yes, this is another good option. to check modified files, even though I have preferred to go with touch command.
