httpd.conf Customization

Hi All,

Thanks for all your support. We are trying to place the following lines of code in httpd.conf file under /*/usr/opt/Interwoven/TeamSite/iw-webd/conf/.

TS 6.5 Solaris 10

Code:

SSLProtocol -ALL +SSLv3 +TLSv1
EXP56:RC4+RSA:+HIGH:+MEDIUM:+LOW:+SSLv3:+EXP:+eNULL
SSLCipherSuite ALL:!aNULL:!ADH:!eNULL:!LOW:!EXP:RC4+RSA:+HIGH:+MEDIUM

Questions:
1. Can we directly edit httpd.conf file? If no, where can the customization for the httpd.conf file would go?
2. Is the code allowable customization inTeamSite?

You want to look at iwwebd.conf.template file.

IIRC, iwwebd.conf came into play in 6.7

In 6.5 (which Jenni referenced) it was still httpd.conf

Now I also remember not being able to change the 5 minute timeout via httpd.conf.template.

What are you trying to do ?

There was some SSL Vulnerability issues and the server team had requested to place the above mentioned code as a fix.

"SSL Server Supports Weak Encryption Vulnerability port 443/tcp over SSL"

I am trying to place the code that was given to me in to httpd.conf.

So to clarify,

The file, which I need to edit is httpd.conf.template and restart the services. - is this right?

Can I go ahead and try the code?

Save httpd.conf.template backup copy somewhere. Modify httpd.conf.template and run iwreset -ui.
After that double check that your changes are reflected in httpd.conf.

Do you have a way to test that the changes are implemented ? LIke my previous post mentioned, I made changes to the httpd.conf.template and the httpd.conf was changed but the results never changed.

It usually works, I did it before. And yes, I do remember the 'timeout' saga where
TS 6.5 stubbornly kept 5 mins regardless of httpd.conf setting
