How to get the list of deleted files in the Workarea?

We are working with 6.1 TS on solaris OS.

we have lot of files deleted in the workarea but those files are existing in the Staging.we need to submit all those deleted files into Staging.
Can anyone please let us to know how to get the list of those deleted files from the workarea?

if we know the name of the deleted file then we can use iwfilestate CLT or check exist in perl code...but how to get the name of the deleted files.....

Hi,

First write perl program to get a list of all files present in STAGING folder.

A simple find command will also work.

Now when you get the file/DCR name
i.e.
/default/main/bp_internet/globalbp/globalbp_uk_english/about_bp/STAGING/templatedata/about_bp/country_page/data/ABP_canada.dcr

Replace the /STAGING/ with /WORKAREA/working/.

Now check that the file is present in /WORKAREA/working/, if not you can delete the same.

This logic may work but it will take too much time.

Hi,

Consider the below 3 cases.

Case 1: File-A is in WA but not is STG.
Case 2 : File-B is in WA and STG.
Case 3: File-C is not in WA but in STG.

So in Case 1: Your perl program has to ignore file-A
Case 2: The perl program can ignire this file also.
Case 3: The file has to be deleted from STG.

You can write your perl program based on the above logic.

Try 'iwlistmod vpath_to_workarea' Command. You'll get back a collection of Files marked f+(modified) and x+(deleted).

Filter out the subset you need and go from there. It's less code and much faster than traverse nested Directories and examine
Files individually.
