Could any body say that why the following error is coming when try to edit a file in teamsite
Unable to edit this file.Could this file(or the form entry this file was generated form) be locked by someone else or in another workarea?

I think you already started thread for this error.. please dont post duplicate issues.

click on the properties of the file and post the results.

Most likely you are editing a file that was generated by a template and the original DCR is locked by someone else

Close the other thread, this likely belongs in the templating forum

Then get some training

Go to template data. DCR is there or not. I think DCR is corrupted.

1. does the DCR open if you edit it ? If no, it is corrupt or you do not have permissions to read it.

2. if it does open then click properties of the file in question and post that (along with the dcr name/path you were testing)
