Writing Query in Display View

Hi All,

I am using SmartList component and added two CTD, I added a common field for both CTD (Priority). Based on the Priority I want to Sort and Display the Lists on the Site.

By default its sorting by Last Modified Date. Please help to resolve this.

Hi Miguel,

We have requirement to display 3 SubLevel Channels & its Contents as Left-Navigation.

So, I have used smartlist Component retrieving subchannels and CIs. But using this CIs are listing as per last modified time on the Left Nav.

I have added common field as Priority for All Content Instances. So, Based on the Priority Field value CIs has to be Ordered and lists in the Left-Nav. But I dont know how to sort it.

We need to Sort based on Priority field value entered by Content Contributor. Please suggest a way if I am not in the right path.

So, in the Smart List config, the Sort By drop down list does NOT contain your Priority field? Besides system attributes, you should have sub-list of content attributes available:

Hi Miguel,

Yes The Priority Field wont come in System dropdown. But I want to be Sorting through Code, Please share if anyone know to write Queries in display view to filter.

Please let me know do we have any other way to display Channel & its subchannels and Contents as Hierarchy Tree.

Hi Jayaram,

You can use WEM DBQuery APIs to query for contents. Here is an example,

This example shows how to query for all content instances of content type "Author" which have an approval status of "Approved", and an "APPROVALDATE" attribute after last week, and the "AUTHOR-LASTNAME" attribute of "Tate" or "Dickinson".

// Create the where clause to check status and approval date

You can also render channel structure in heirarchy tree using APIs and little bit of css.

For example,
