Implementing email notificaiton in workflow

Hi All,

Actually I am trying to implement e-mail notification in my workflow but I am not able to send e-mail notifications.

The entry made in the iw.cfg is as shown below:
maildomain=test.com
mailserver=192.168.170.26
use_mapping_file=yes
email_mapping_file=C:\Interwoven\TeamSite\local\config\wft\email_map.cfg
debug_output=C:\iwsend

I have got my account created on the SMTP server (192.168.170.26) with username- test\meghna_tyagi

I have also made the following entry in the email_map.cfg file:-
test\meghna_tyagi : meghna_tyagi@test.com

I have also got the entry done in my host file as
192.168.170.26 testgdc04.test.com

Then too when I start the workflow it does not send the email notification. The email notification has been used as the start task.

If anyone has already done something similar or has previously experienced or aware of the resolution, your expertise would be a lot helpful.

Hi

If the settings are Ok,then check log file "iwutild_cmdout.log" at

C:\iw-home\local\logs

It will help you to trace out the problem.

In your mail domain setting in iw.cfg
use this

use_mapping_file=false
debug_output=c:\iw-home\tmp\iwsend_mail.log

may be it will work.

By checking the log file "iwutild_cmdout.log" i was able to trace that the iw_solution_email.ipl could not get the value of the key "iw_mailheader_pt".

Initially i was using
variable key="mail_header" value="reviewer_iwmailheader.tpl"
variable key="mail_body" value="reviewer_iwmailbody.tpl"

But after seeing the log i changed it to
variable key="iw_mailheader_pt" value="reviewer_iwmailheader.tpl"
variable key="iw_mailbody_pt" value="reviewer_iwmailbody.tpl"

Now the workflow is working fine.
