TS Search | Significance of Language Dropdown

vijetha

I am trying to understand the significance of language dropdown, so I have created a DCR with Japanese content and Enter Japanese text in the TS advance search text filed and selected “Japanese” language from language drop down and clicked on search. It returned no results but if I select English language from dropdown then it’s returned results.

Any one has any pointers on how this is being used and what is the purpose of this language dropdown and why I was unable to search Japanese content If select the respective language.

TS6.7.1 on Solaris10.

Thanks in advance.
