Dynamically populating drop down in TagUI

I have to dynamically populate drop downs based on the values selected in the previous drop down in TagUI.
These values have to be populated by parsing an xml that contains a hierarchy.
The first drop down should contain the root element from the xml. As we select the first value, the second drop down needs to be populated by the child elements of the first value. I want to know the initial values to be set in the drop downs and how can the retrieved values be set back in the drop down (as we do not know how many option labels and values would be retrieved.)
Can we use an inline command or a call server?
to populate a drop down with dynamic values... or can we pass a parameter in the inline command?

Can anypne please suggest me a way to do this...

You should go with FormAPI. For changing the drop-down value dynamically need to handle with IWEventRegistry from FormAPI.
You can use callserver for both drop-down or inline for first and callserver for second.
