Automating tests in WEM

Hello,

We have to regression test WEM standard actions like creation/editing of content a lot because of various patches, DB changes, etc. So we are trying to see if we can automate this. At the moment we are looking at using Selenium for doing this. Seems challenging with WEM's JavaScript framework not giving too much access to page elements. Does anybody have experience/thoughts in the area?
