Attaching Locked Files to WF in CCSTD

The scenario:
Trying to attach locked files using the "Existing Files" link in the Task Details screen from ContentCenter Standard to a workflow.

The Issue:
An error message flashes on the screen for .5 a second. The file is not attached to the workflow (which is good).

I've attached a screenshot of the error dialog that flashes on the screen.

Under the exact same scenario using ContentCenter Professional the error message doesn't go away. We did have some UI Customizations implemented, but I've since removed all customizations on a dev server and I'm getting the same results.

Wondering if anyone has had a similar issue or can maybe reproduce in their environments? Next step might be contacting support...

i am having related issue to attaching locked files. so i thought i add on this.
my workflow (wfm) is like this:

editor modifies DCR in CCSTD -> submits -> reviewer gets task to approve or reject content -> ...->end

the reviewer wants to preview the attached DCR before he approves. so he would click preview ( which opens up the DCR in read-only mode) then clicks on preview button in the DCR to open up the HTML version. this is where a lock conflict error is triggered and it says that the DCR is locked by the author who last edited the DCR.

my workaround is to set the lock of the attached files to the task owner. which seems to resolve the issue but i dont know if it is good idea in case when reviewer doesnt get to the task in a day or two, and the editor needs to work on the DCR again.

Not quite the same issue CRB, but thanks for the reply. Basically, my users want to see the error message that should be displayed telling the user that they have tried attaching files that are locked by another user (i guess that answers your question andy).
