iwidmap not applying new groups

Hi,

We are moving from TS 6.1 to TS 6.7.2 with a fresh install on a new windows server. The folders within workareas have been assigned different groups in order to grant necessary access to the users. These groups are local operating system groups. Now when we copied the iw-store to the new server, we ran iwmigrate and iwaccessmigrate.

I understand to get the access structure on folders simillar to 6.1 server we need to run iwidmap on the new server. In order to do this, I created 2 groups (There are around 25 groups in total, to check iwidmap's functioning I tried with 2 groups first) with the same name, exported id mapping xml from the 6.1 server, copied it to our new server and updated the hostname of those 2 groups to the new server's hostname in the xml file.

When I tried to import the xml using - iwidmap.exe -g -i d:\groupmap.xml d:\iw-store\default although it does not give any error message, I do not see the folder permissions reflecting the groups present in the new server which I recreated before running the above command.

After you ran iwidmap - did you run the following commands:

You need to do this in order for the mappings to take effect (or completely stop and restart the TS server process - but iwstoreadm is generally quicker)
