how to set index.page as welcome-file?

System

Hi,

I try to make my welcome-file working.
I would like that calling http://lsrtsrv:1776/sites/mysite/mydirectory/
returns me automaticaly the page http://lsrtsrv:1776/sites/mysite/mydirectory/index.page

I try to add
<welcome-file-list>
<welcome-file>index.page</welcome-file>
</welcome-file-list>
in web.xml...

But it returns a 490 status in access log and display the site chooser.

Any idea?

Thanks, Greg.

What version of livesite are you using? In 3.1 you can use URL Aliases.

We use LS3.1, but we do not want to create alias for each index.page we have.
