Edit the history list?

Darbus

Hi, is it possible to edit the comments field for a particular item in the HistoryList?

Is it possible to delete an object in the HistoryList?

Is it possible to Import a document without creating an entry in the History List?

The individual comments are read-only, so no you cannot edit them

The HistoryList collection is read-only and doesn't support delete methods, so no you can't delete a history item

Yes, you can import a document without (seemingly) generating a history event: use the CheckInEx... family of methods on the IManDocument entity, and pass a history event item of "imHistoryNotLogged". These event types are suppressed in the WorkSite clients

As Guido says, these feils are read-only through the API, which actually makes good sense, as the DMS-History is part of your Compliance.

There is, however the possibility of manipulating the mhgroup.DocHistory table in the SQL db where history data is stored, but this is absolutely not adviceable.
