Is it possible to integrate OT Asset Editor in HMC?

The Asset Assignment Editor as available in the PCM / WCMS cockpits or /backoffice is not available for the legacy HMC technology. However since the assignment from the cockpits and backoffice creates MediaItems you can still view OpenTextMedia items in HMC as you can with any item type but you can't use the assignment function.
NOT: It could potentially still be possible with a custom approach to integrate it but nothing we can provide clear guidance on how that would be done.
