Hi Friends,I am implementing TS 672 on Solaris 10 box. I have fresh install TeamSite in the partition /xyz/custom. I want to change the location of content store and mount drive from (root) / partition to the partition allocated to the TeamSite(/xyz/custom).Kindly suggest me the appropriate way for achieving the same.Thanks,VikasTS672Solaris 10
There is also a TS Migration guide given by Autonomy Interwoven.
I am trying to locate this guide, TeamSite Migration guide, on the new Autonomy Support site as well. It is not available!Any help on where to find this document? We need to migrate content store from one server (TS 671) to another one (TS 671 SP1). We are looking at required steps and best practices around this deliverable.
Those steps work as long as you are not trying to move from DOS to Unix.
What OS on server-1?What OS on server-2?Were local users and groups used on server-1?In your case, it sounds like you're looking at copying a backing store from one server to another as opposed to migrating content. I'm not sure where the exact document is, but the steps are basically: Stop TS on server-1Stop TS on server-2Copy backing store from server-1 to server-2Restart TS on server-1 (if desired)Restart TS on server-2Run iwidmap to fix user and group mappings (read the CLT manual and search for "iwidmap" on Support site, there are several good KBs regarding its usage)Deactivate and re-activate content store(s) - using iwstoreadm - to apply iwidmap changes
Both server environments are Windows Server 2003 based.
Yes, ghoti, you are right. We are looking into copying/moving content store from one server to another one. Actually, to be more specific, current destination server content store (default) should not be affected with this 'content store move'. Moved content store will be called default022 and we want to see both content stores, existing and moved (at the destination environment).
Thanks for iwidmap pointer. I will look around. One thing is sure, searching for KB articles within 'new' Support site proved to be quite challanging.
