WCMS-Configure renderings

Hi,

We have requirement not to ingest OTMM assets into Hybris while selecting DAM assets from WCMS cockpit.

What are the supported rendering options we have?:

1. ContentByExport[default]
2.  ContentByURL
3.  MediaServlet   
4.  URL      
5.  SharedStorage

I was testing with MediaServlet enabled in local.property file including this:

otmm.export.isMandatory = FALSE

I observered OTMM export was getting triggered while testing from WCMS.

How can I skip OTMM export ,Hybris Import and use external original url[PDF in my case]in hybris?

MediaServlet is the main one, URL the second option (mainly for very large assets where you already have some public facing distribution URL like for videos), SharedStorage the third one but really needs hybris and OTMM to have access to same common NAS.

 

It’s really only MediaServlet that allows creating new renditions/formats not already existing in OTMM, it’s also the only export-free option. Both URL and shared storage also Requires exports but the export will be without content and just include the assetProperties.xml meta data export which is read by the hybris side to create appropriate linking in hybris based on some key meta data fields.
