I am using template based email in my workflow. I read in workflow guide (page 107) that :

Within the header template, you may want to use the tag iwov_emailmap. This tag
produces an addr element from a user name. It first tries to looks up the user in the
following file:

iw-home/local/config/wft/solutions/email_map.cfg

If it does not find an entry in the map file for the user, it simply uses the bare user name
(removing the Windows domain, if any) and the default mail domain obtained from
iw.cfg.

My email_map.cfg is located at different place
iw-home/local/config/email_map.cfg

How do i configure the template based email's (iw_solution_email.ipl) header.tpl to look email mapping file at a location other than default. Right now its searching for email_map.cfg at iw-home/local/config/wft/solutions/email_map.cfg.

Is it possible to do this ?

You can do pretty much what you want - it just takes coding on your part.
Is there some reason you cannot (or do not want to) maintain the email_map.cfg in its expected location?

If you cannot - you will either have to make your own version of the iwov_emailmap code or just replace it with your own code in-line rather than trying to use the XML-wrapper to the perl functionality. If you're using 671SP1 or higher, you really want to replace the iwov_emailmap code anyway so that you can utilize the email information stored in the tsusers.xml file rather than maintaining the email_map.cfg file.

You can do it through iw.cfg . There is a [iwsend_mail] section there you can configure your email_map.cfg path

You should consider using the email address you configured in the admin tool instead. I wrote a change to the IWOV perlmod for this and published a tech article. There have also been some posts on this matter. Don't keep email addresses in 2 places if you do not need to.

Bzzzzzzzz Thanks for playing - that setting is used by iwsend_mail.ipl, not iw_solution_email.ipl - the two files (email_map.cfg and email_map.cfg) are in different formats as well.
